Step Operation
The RM1300 is designed specifically to fit below the rear barn doors of a van. It acts as a means of entering the vehicle or as a rear platform. Unlike fixed rear platform steps, the RM1300 is stowed like a cassette step when not required. The ability to stow allows the step to escape damage should it be left deployed and the vehicle reversed into a fixed object. The step incorporates the stayco patented lock out system and is activated by simply pressing the tread in a small distance with your foot to release the over centre catch allowing the tread unit to slide out under the activation of a damped gas spring. The tread is stowed by simply pressing the tread with your foot into the vehicle until the over centre latch clicks and retains the step in the stowed position.Dimensions
